The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of South County is planning an evening at the Kinney Bungalow at beautiful Sunset Farm for their fourteenth Annual Auction on Saturday, April 26th, 2008.
This family event will take place from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the unique and historic Kinney Bungalow. There will be both silent and live auction items offered for sale. Auctioneer Mike Glemboski of Red Shoes Auctions promises to entertain with his lively style and colorful personality. Nick and Ligia Smith from South Kingstown will provide music. There will be a beer and wine cash bar, and free hors d’oeuvres will be served. Entrance fee is $20 for adults, $12 for students 12 and older, and $5.00 for children. Payment by cash or checks only at the event (sorry, no credit or debit cards). This evening, the primary fundraiser for the UUCSC, is sure to be fun.
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of South County (UUCSC), led by the Reverend Betty Kornitzer, meets on Sunday at 10 AM at the American Legion Post 39, 1958 Kingstown Road, South Kingstown. Unitarian Universalism is a nondogmatic, noncreedal religion that draws inspiration from all the great religions of the world.
The UUCSC is involved with helping many organizations in our local community including: the Walk for Shelter to benefit Welcome House, providing dinners for Welcome House, South County Holiday Adopt a Family, Habitat for Humanity, the Campaign to Eliminate Childhood Poverty and working to improve practices related to Global Warming, among other activities.
