| The philosophy of Religious Education for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of South County is to foster the self-worth of each individual in an inclusive environment. Our respect for the interdependent web of all existence is central to building beliefs and nurturing open mindedness. With a strong foundation, we feel that beliefs help to support actions that benefit others within our greater community. Through modeling socially responsible behavior we hope to pass on the philosophy of our liberal religious heritage. |
"Children are one-third of our population and all of our future"

Hello Wonderful Friends,
I am so proud of our children and youth who helped make the glorious signs we all used for the "Standing on the Side of Love Rally". I think it will be a long time before those who participated in the march and rally forget its energy and power.
In this newsletter article I wish to focus on saying thank you. I have been so wonderfully supported by staff, board members, RE Committee members teachers and everyone during these last few months.
Life has bee BIG these last six months; my Dad has been gone 4 months already and since then I've cared for my Mom during her 2 separate hip replacements. My family has shown me nothing but love during this time but it is in this congregation where I feel most supported.
Thanks for that which I really can't put into words.
The RE Committee and I have been talking about how we can thank our tireless teachers and volunteers both past, present and future. And here is what we wish to give to all of you:
This March (date TBA) we have invited Deer Sullivan, the DRE Consultant for our district, to come to our church one weekday evening and share her immensely sacred gifts with everyone. The evening will be one of spiritual renewal; a chance to celebrate our individual and collective gifts; to replenish our creative spirits; to honor the important faith work we are doing together and to receive back some of the energy, joy and care that we share with the children, youth of this church.
You don't want to miss this. Deer is one of the most creative, spiritual, talented, motivational people I have ever, ever, ever met.
All are invited. This is free because it is RE's gift to everyone with deep gratitude for all you bring to our Religious education program.
I will email the entire congregation once I know the date and time!
